Automotive Fuel Tank — precision stamped steel assembly
Product Overview

Engineered for Every Platform

Our automotive fuel tank product range spans compact passenger vehicles to heavy commercial trucks — delivering precision-stamped, seam-welded steel assemblies with multi-layer corrosion protection and verified fuel system integrity.

Each tank is built from high-strength zinc-coated steel sheet, drawn and trimmed through progressive die stamping, then assembled through a dedicated multi-stage welding line before wet paint-shop treatment and full final inspection.

"Stamped from TZSE high-strength zinc-coated steel, seam-welded for airtight integrity, UEP-coated, wet painted and dual leak-tested — covering capacities from 33 L to 100 L across Perodua, Proton and Hino platforms."

Dual Leak Testing

Pressure-tested at the welding line and again after final assembly — zero tolerance for fuel leakage.

OHM / Fuel Pump Resistance Check

Electrical resistance of fuel pump and sender unit verified before every tank ships.

Multi-OEM Platform Coverage

Qualified and supplied to Perodua, Proton and Hino — compact car to heavy truck.

Six Critical Operations

From 21 sequential steps, these six demand the most precision, the most specialist tooling, and the strictest quality gates — where an OEM-grade fuel tank is truly made or broken.

UIG
Stamping
Cam-Pierce

Angled cam tooling pierces holes on non-vertical faces and undercut features that conventional vertical press tooling cannot reach. Cam angle and entry depth are precisely set per part-specific tooling specification — among the most geometrically demanding operations in the entire stamping line.

UIG
Stamping
Sub Tank Formation

A separate internal shell formed and trimmed through two dedicated press operations — acts as a fuel baffle to suppress slosh and provides a stable housing pocket for the sender unit. Invisible from outside, critical in function.

UIG
Welding
Seam Weld

Continuous weld joins upper and lower pan flanges around the full tank perimeter. Weld speed, current and electrode pressure are monitored and logged on every unit — this single joint defines the tank's lifetime leak integrity.

UIG
Welding
Welding Line Leak Test

Tank is pressurized then fully submerged in a water bath. Any leakage across seam welds, spot welds or joint interfaces surfaces as visible bubble streams — triggering immediate rejection. First mandatory zero-leakage gate.

UIG
Paint Shop
UEP Electrocoat Priming

Tank fully immersed in a cathodic electrophoretic primer bath. Electrical charge drives uniform epoxy film deposition across every surface — including internal cavities spray equipment cannot reach. Film thickness: 15–25 µm.

UIG
Final Inspection
Final Leak Test & OHM Verification

The fully assembled tank — with all fittings, pipe connections and sub-assemblies in place — undergoes a second pressure leak test. Immediately after, an OHM meter verifies the electrical resistance of the fuel pump and sender unit. Only tanks clearing both tests are labelled, recorded and cleared for shipment.
